Was reading Ruth and just thinking about how Naomi said her name was Mara, Bitter, because her sons and husband had died and the “bitter waters of Mara” came to mind.

When looking it up there were a few occasions it was mentioned and the revelation came to me that Jesus is the living water that turned the bitter waters of Mara into Living water. ( Exodus 15). The waters were bitter but God showed Moses a wood to throw into the water that would make it good to drink.

The woman suspected of adultery by her husband was made to drink a bitter water and if she really did sin, she would be cursed…and Jesus went to the Samaritan adulterous woman who was living with a man not her husband, and asked her for water and told her to ask him for living water.( John chapter 4) Under the law, she was to drink bitter water and to be cursed, but by the Grace of God in the person of Jesus – he gave her LIVING water. ( Numbers 5:11 to 31)

This really brings me to tears at the Grace of God because I AM that woman. Even though I have not been divorced and remarried 5 times, I had relationships in which I had already “joined” myself in the covenant act with many of my ex boyfriends and in the eyes of God, I have already been the adulterous sinful woman. Not just that, How many times have I also been a prostitute? Maybe selling myself for money but for affection? But for acceptance? I think that if many women can be so honest as to reflect back on their past relationships, so many of us have been prostitutes and adulterous women who under the perfect law of God – deserve death for our sin – and yet… JESUS.

As I was reading the old testament to Aletheia in Joshua, where there was a man who stole from the treasury of God and His entire family, cattle, tent and what he stole were burned up. His entire family burned up and stoned. Everything that belonged to him. The penalty of SIN is DEATH. BUT … JESUS…. When i read these accounts that used to make me think that God was this angry and scary God, now makes me cry at the GRACE of God! These accounts in history were written to show us the severity of sin. The true cost and consequence of sin – that it does not just even affect the man that sinned, but his entire family – his sons and daughters and everyone in his bloodline. The curse and punishment is not just to one person but to generations after. This is the severity and curse of sin under the law! BUT JESUS!!!! …

As I was reading this today, it hit me in the heart and I had a revelation of what Paul was trying to explain in one of his letters where he was saying that what if GOD, by his HUGE GRACE chose some people to become examples of the gravity of sin so that he might display to so many more the true depths of His Grace? You might say why didn’t they have a choice or why was not Grace showed to them during their time, and yet who are we to say to the Potter how he makes his clay, except to be thankful and so grateful that we are not under a new covenant and have been the recipients of the Grace of God through the giving of his son JESUS – to take that DEATH, that true and just punishment for OUR SINS, on himself so that we might become – the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus? ( 2 Corinthains 5:21)

“What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction? What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory— including us, whom He has called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles? “- ROMANS 9

But it’s not that we don’t need to die. We still do! But we have been given a chance not to Pay the eternal price of our sins by an eternal death, but a chance to be born again and have a new life by DYING with JESUS on the cross, by being “buried with Him through Baptism” ( COLOSSIANS 2:12 and ROMANS 6:4)that we might have a new life by rising through him in His Resurrection.

How can we become the righteousness of God until we have been Co-crucified with Christ and died with him? ( Galatians 2:20)

“Whoever wants to become my disciple must follow me to the cross DAILY”. ( Matthew 16:24, Luke 9:23) DAILY we must choose to no longer live by our flesh by to daily die to our the old lives, repent and live by being led by the Holy Spirit.

It is only by the LAW of the SPIRIT that we are SET FREE from the LAW of SIN and DEATH! – (Romans 8:2) It is only by living by the Holy Spirit that we can be made Holy, that sin will no longer have power over us, that we are free from our old lives of being controlled by sin – where we don’t want to do the things we do and yet we can’t stop ourselves from doing it.

Children are a FRUIT of INTIMACY just as the Fruits of the Holy Spirit can only come by INTIMACY with the Holy Spirit, which means the HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE of YOU. We can never have children without being intimate and coming into UNION just as we cannot try to be HOLY on our own without the HOLY SPIRIT. It is the HOLY SPIRIT inside of us, that will make us HOLY if we daily allow him to lead us and be in communion and Union with Him. – John 14:23 ” We will come and make home in them”.

Jesus Cursed the Fig tree that had no fruit and said that it was better that it died and dried up than to pretend to look like it had leaves which made people think that it had fruit when it did not because God is after the heart. He wants FRUIT.- Mark 11:12 to 25

In the parable of the sower and seeds, there were many seeds thrown out and some even at first received the word in their hearts but allowed the devil to come steal the word away from them so that they never grew and never had fruit. – Luke 8:1 to 16

In the last days, Jesus said, many would come to him and say didn’t we do many things in your name and called him LORD ? But yet he said, away from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU, you EVIL-DOERS! He was talking about people who were professing to call him LORD and to even maybe do charitable acts and “healings” in his name but yet were still being EVIL ! That means they did not have the fruits of the Holy Spirit and he never knew them. They were men of Lawless-ness, still living in sin but claiming to do the work of Jesus. – Matthew 7:21 to 23

If we have been truly born again, repented and born of water and spirit, died to ourselves and buried our old lives through Baptism/ Immersion into Jesus Christ and being Baptized and Immersed with the Holy Spirit, we will be NEW CREATIONS and can no longer live in sin. In fact, instead of being slaves to sin we will become slaves to righteousness and our hearts will just want to please God and follow the holy Spirit that is daily leading us. He sets us free and gives us a new heart, one that is after HIS OWN heart. We will be so filled with his love that we can love others. – 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

In John, the letter wrote ” do not be deceived brothers and sisters, whoever loves IS BORN OF GOD, whoever does not love is not of GOD but still a child of the enemy” for the one that is truly born again CANNOT GO ON SINNING. – 1 JOHN 3:7

This is one question and wonder that I’ve heard expressed by many confused by other “Christians”. They don’t understand how they can be leaders and go to church every sunday and say they love God but yet do this and that and live in sin and lead double lives and its so confusing to them. But then I share this verse – not everyone who is a confessing and church attending Christian is actually Born again. Not everyone who is married is living a covenant life and in love. – 1 JOHN chapter 3 to 5.

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN! John 3:3, Truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of heaven unless they are BORN AGAIN of WATER AND SPIRIT – JESUS

Acts 2:38 WHAT must we do to be saved? REPENT, BE BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus for the FORGIVENESS of your sins AND you WILL RECEIVE THE GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT.

JESUS DIED so that we could inherit the promised GIFT to Abraham! GALATIANS 3:14

HAVE YOU RECEIVED THIS GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE LIVING WATER!

John 7:37-39
“Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Isaiah 44:3
‘For I will pour out water on the thirsty land
And streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring
And My blessing on your descendants;

John 4:14
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

ASK GOD to GIVE YOU THIS LIVING WATER !

Luke 11:11 to 13
“What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask Him!”

HOW WOULD YOU KNOW the Holy SPIRIT has been POURED OUT on you?

1. You will speak/ pray in a new tongue/ a language given by the Spirit that you have not known before and is a heavenly language. This is like singing, it flows out of you and does not possess you – you will praise God!
2. You will be filled with Power and can cast out demons and heal the sick and will be filled with a boldness to preach the good news that the Kingdom of God has come through Jesus Christ.

ACTS 10:46
All the circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and exalting God. Then Peter said, Can anyone withhold the water to baptize these people? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have!”…

Acts 4:31
After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Mark 16:17
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
